Two very different reviews are featured this week.
In the first (no. 776) Jenny Benham enthuses over War and Peace in Ancient and Medieval History (edited by Philip de Souza and John France), a series of essays contextualising the evolution of peace treaties and truces over this extended period.
The second (no. 777) consists of a fascinating exchange between Micheál Ó Siochrú (see his response here) and Jason Peacey regarding the former’s recent publication God’s Executioner: Oliver Cromwell and the Conquest of Ireland.
