Currently 612 journals are checked regularly for material relevant to the Bibliography. The Routledge journal Sport in History has been added to the list of those regularly searched titles. Recent special issues of the journal have covered topics such as the British Upper Classes and Sport and amateurism in Britain; recent articles have included women golfers 1890-1914; Anglo-American horse racing connections 1730-1900; and Anglo-Australian Rugby Union relations before World War II. The Wiley journal, Centaurus , a journal of the history of science and its cultural aspects has also been added to the search list. Recent articles include Hutchinsonianism and the Newtonian Enlightenment; the General Register Office and Victorian bureaucracies; and Oliver Heaviside’s work on telephony.
